Cyprus International University was founded in the year 1997, and thanks to its outstanding technical and physical infrastructure, the university has embodied the three fundamental concepts, namely learning, research and cultural blending that are identified as the indispensable characteristics of a global institution of higher learning. The university is aiming to achieve its goal of being the leading institution of higher education in the region and contribute to the development of our country. Cyprus International University offers education at internationally acclaimed standards over 19000 students from 109 different nations in a multicultural context and has 10 faculties and 8 schools.
Academic and scientific studies at Cyprus International University have priority over all things else, and hence all the 10 faculties and 8 schools are designed in a manner to meet the demands and needs of the society. In addition to the Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs, Masters’ and Doctoral Programs are offered by a highly qualified internationally acclaimed academic staff.
The university has laboratories equipped with state-of-the art technological devices, a computer center, a big resource library, Multi functional sports complex and Residence halls that have a capacity of a accommodating 3454 students.

In order to increase the academic level of students, Cyprus International University has signed agreements with three prestigious universities in European countries, according to which students can spend the fourth year in one of the prestigious universities after three years of study at CIU University. European parties to the university contract and eventually receive a degree from both universities.
